When a Wood Wool producer in Mid Wales found sales were down they approached Richard Singleton for help. As a packaging material Wood Wool is often being replaced by Polystyrene. But polystyrene has its disadvantages and is not environment friendly. Wood Wool is also the traditional soft toy and Teddy stuffing material. It was time to promote the advantages of Wood Wool on both fronts. A new well illustrated web site was produced with online ordering and also the ability to order small sample packs which were good for small soft toy makers. A fine teddy was made, stuffed with the Wood Wool and used to promote the product. Soon the orders and enquiries were coming in thick and fast. Not only that but with the graphical statistics analysed by Richard Singleton, along with site visibility reports, and regular meetings with the client, the marketing strategy for the product was constantly reviewed and updated.

After looking at the product range and the marketing strategy Richard drew up a detailed plan for a complete I.T. intervention strategy. E-mail, Web site and office facilities were the first things to get underway. The web site was promoted to the search engines as well as through all the company stationery and literature. Richard Singleton called in to check progress with Mr. Evans having the server statistics and analysis for Mr. Evans to view and go through. "It is amazing", Mr Evans said, "We had this enquiry from Scotland through the web site. We quoted via e-mail, We had the quote accepted and we dispatched two lorries up there with a team of lads. The client was very happy and we invoiced him and the money was paid into our bank account by electronic transfer. All done with me even meeting the customer!".
